Plot Summary:
Ella is married to Felix, a womaniser who can’t keep his hands off other women. He not only impregnated her childhood friend, Sherry, but also their maid, Mary. Sherry is determined to become Felix’s second wife because of his wealth, while Mary, who genuinely cares for Ella, has conflicting feelings about the situation.
Sherry also has an ex-boyfriend, Chuka, who believes Sherry is carrying his child, as they were actively trying to get pregnant before their breakup. Eventually, Ella discovers Felix’s involvement in Mary’s pregnancy and learns the truth about Sherry and Felix.
Distraught, Ella reclaims everything she gave to Felix, throws him out of her house, and Chuka relishes in his victory.
Standout Scene:
In one scene, Ella was on fire, passionately expressing her frustrations about the irresponsible married man who had impregnated Sherry. Then, Ella turned to her husband and said,
I burst into laughter. I couldn’t help it especially when her husband was responsible for Sherry’s pregnancy
Emotional Impact:
The film evoked a mix of ๐, ๐, and ๐. The domestic staff provided humour, and Chuka’s antics were amusing, but the rest of the film fell short.
Twists and Turns:
The plot earns a 3 out of 5 for Ella revealing in the end that Felix was a broke bum. It made my day.
Biggest Flaw:
The atrocious sound quality made it challenging to hear the dialogue clearly.
Standout Performances:
Mary, the maid, and Baba Eko, the gateman, delivered entertaining performances.
