Success! You're on the list.

This film was a hot mess from start to finish. The bizarre beginning, where Sarah (Scarlet Gomez), the bus driver, crashes into Fred’s (Eddie Watson) car, sets the tone. Fred theatrically threatens to involve the police, but Sarah’s insult inexplicably sparks love, turning Fred into a stalker and Sarah into his eventual love interest.

Things take a turn when Fred’s mother disapproves of Sarah and pushes him towards Dora, a friend’s daughter, who is argumentative and insulting. It’s perplexing how a man claiming to escape a toxic ex finds himself entangled with someone who mistreats him until she falls for him.

The movie struggles to find its identity, attempting to navigate through enemies-to-lovers, evil mother-in-law, and vengeful ex-girlfriend/fiancรฉe arcs, ultimately falling short. Despite Ruth Kadiri’s track record of enjoyable films, this one fails to impress. It receives โญโญ out of 10 stars from me.
