LACES Episode 2: Sandra’s Mother Puts Out a Husband Vacancy Ad on Her Behalf

Sandra wants to go on a date with Mr Segun – the man who gave her 200k in episode 1.

So Fola has entered voicemail.

What in the actual hell?!

She just got a call from a man saying he saw her post online looking for a husband. Another man called her to say the same thing. Sandra’s phone is now a hotline.

No way!

Her mother, Mrs Okiti was the one who made the post. She paid a blog to make a sponsored post on Sandra looking for a husband.

The way Debo eats

He makes that noise — he smacks his mouth while eating.

Mr Segun just asked Sandra if she has ever considered modelling. Is that his code for prostitution?

Mr Segun talks like a perv.

“You are uptight… Be free with me… Drink more wine… you have nothing to fear.”

This flashback (7:00) is unnecessary. We’ve already watched it in episode 1. There’s no need to show us again.

Mr Segun has given Sandra money again — a wad of cash.

Hmm, beware of free meals. They can lead to explosive diarrhoea.

Tokunbo and Fola are settling their differences.

Why though? It’s not like Tokunbo purposely slept with Sandra.

WTF is this conversation (9:52)?

Sandra cheated on Fola with Tokunbo.
Fola has been trying to reach Sandra via phone calls.
Sandra hasn’t been picking up his calls.
But Tokunbo is telling Fola to work hard to get Sandra back.

Am I crazy to think that Tokunbo is talking absolute rubbish?

Exactly Fola!

She should be the one begging you.

So Tokunbo has a girlfriend?

Tokunbo ain’t shit and he ain’t ever gone be shit.

Tokunbo answered his door and it was Sandra.

This Akah Nnani’s character is so useless in this show.

Like what purpose do you serve Mr. Man?

Even Tolani Baj’s Character

… is useless to the main plot.

Oh my God, that line delivery was so bad (14:55)

He sounded like he was battling a really bad constipation.

The camera is always slowly zooming in on their faces.

Sandra broke up with Fola

Let me guess: Tokunbo’s penile game was so good, that she wants more of it. If that’s the case, then poor Fola.

This Maurice Sam’s character is a creep.

The dude is way too handsy for a man who is not her (June/Tolani Baj) boyfriend.

Final Thoughts

The plot moved forward at a snail’s pace and new characters were introduced.
