It wasn’t even a rom-com either

“Corper” (Maurice Sam) befriends Bisi (Sonia Uche)

He was out for his morning jog and almost passed out. He rushed to her shop to get a drink of water, and she gave it to him.

Their friendship was pure

Bisi didn’t know that Corper was rich. She thought he was a Youth Corper, while he enjoyed spending time with her because she was a kind person.

A mystery good Good Samaritan enters the picture

Corper helped Bisi sort out her financial problems anonymously with the help of his staff. The lady called herself “Good Samaritan”.

Bisi finds out eventually

When Corper’s older brother, Onochie, who lives with him, asks Bisi to supply him Agege bread at the house.

A family meeting ensues

One of the days Bisi delivers Agege bread to Onochie, she witnesses in real-time how Onochie and Ada (Onochie and Corper’s younger sister) demand money from Corper. They felt the pocket money Corper was giving them was too small, so they asked for more money.

Bisi feels sorry for Corper

She takes it upon herself to help him. Bisi pretends to be his fiancee to frustrate Corper’s siblings out of his house.

Corper starts flirting with Bisi

It was never made clear if Corper was interested in Bisi before the end, but he does flirt heavily with her.

Corper’s ex-girlfriend, Lola, returns

She also reveals Bisi and Corper’s ruse to his siblings, which forces Bisi to pack her things and leave the house.

Bisi’s boyfriend, Idowu, also returns

From Turkey, and he comes back with nothing.

Lola has a secret

She is pregnant and tries to pin the pregnancy on Corper, but it doesn’t work. She is sent packing from Corper’s house.

Onochie and Ada also get the boot

Corper got tired of them controlling his life and threw them out.

Corper reconnects with Bisi

She reveals that Idowu never went to Turkey. He lied, and she broke up with him.

Corper buys Bisi a supermarket

And proposes to her.

Final Thoughts

This movie was something. I wouldn’t say I hated it because that would be very disingenuous. However, I will maintain that the movie wasn’t well written.

My biggest problem with this film was when Bisi moved into Corper’s house. The period she spent in that house was supposed to play out like Tom and Jerry. She is Jerry, and Corper’s siblings are Tom, but it didn’t turn out that way.
