This is a jaw-dropping opening.

A guy is fishing on a boat. He thinks he caught a big fish but when he reeled it in, it was a severed arm giving the middle finger.

Andrew Yancy doesn’t look like he is enjoying whatever that is, he is drinking.

So Yancy’s friend/fellow detective, Rogelio has given him the cooler with the severed arm inside. The middle finger according to the medical corona was just random rigor mortis.
Nothing deep.

Me personally, I doubt that. I think that middle finger was for the person who severed that arm.

Yancy put his food in the same cooler as the severed arm.

Is he crazy?

Is Yancy flirting with this doctor – Rosa?

Yancy’s boss, the Sheriff, wants him to get rid of the arm because it would be bad for business.
If people know that someone probably got eaten by sharks in the same water they love to go fishing in, tourists wouldn’t want to visit the area.

Yancy takes the arm to Dr Rosa to see if it belongs to one of the victims she has done post-mortems on and it’s a “no”.
He calls his friend, Rogelio. Rogelio advises him to throw it in a swamp where a crocodile will eat it and nobody would know about it.

The question, is: will Yancy do it?

Yancy is a mess.

He is sleeping with a woman, Bonnie who is married and her husband won’t divorce despite knowing she is cheating on him.

That sounds toxic.

Yancy hit her husband’s golf cart and it flew into the river. The man almost drowned and Yancy’s excuse for doing that was because her husband called her a “whore”.

A title she deserved because she was CHEATING on him.

Yancy as a “protagonist” is not someone I would root for. He is an idiot.

Oh, Bonnie’s husband slapped her.

That changes everything. Yancy,

Bonnie broke a ceramic soap dish that was nailed to the wall because the sex she and Yancy were having was so good.

I don’t believe you.

She went to get ice from his fridge and she found the severed arm. She ran the fuck out immediately.

In the Bahamas, there is a young man named Neville and his monkey, Driggs.

A very stubborn monkey who doesn’t listen to his “owner?”.

His sister sold the family land.

Earlier on, Yancy watched a dead raccoon get killed by a car. It basically flattened the poor thing.

That scene ended, thought nothing of it.

Only to find out this motherfucker took that dead raccoon and dropped it inside his neighbour’s house.

Oh, someone has come to claim the arm. A woman who just returned from Europe and her husband went on a fishing trip while she was away.

She returned to find out her husband died. So she needs the arm to have something to bury… for a funeral.

That is so sad.

The arm is frozen to the fridge.

Why do I feel like the woman, Eve, is going to get broken frozen pieces of her late husband’s arm?

She is so young.

Oh, and the arm didn’t end up in pieces. It was whole.

Ha! She hates her husband’s daughter. The way she said

“his daughter is so… lovely.”

gave it away.

I don’t trust Eve. There is something very disingenuous about her. If she didn’t kill her husband, the man she is fucking on the side definitely did.

Yancy thinks so as well. He said she was trying very very hard to cry.

Eve is going to the Bahamas to be sad.

Wonders shall never end. Eve and Neville are on the same beach. She says “hi” to him and adds,

A gorgeous day in paradise.

Bitch, didn’t you just lose your husband?

Dr Rosa thinks Yancy keeps coming to her lab because he has ulterior motives.

Are the ulterior motives that I’m thinking what you’re thinking?

Yancy is indeed trying to knock her boots.
Dr. Rosa said,

Sorry, I’m seeing someone.

And Yancy asked,

Is he a big guy?

Dr. Rosa answered

Sniper, for the SWAT.

Yancy, I know you are a perpetual adulterer and marriage interferer. However, in this instance, it would be in your best interest to stay the fuck away from Rosa.

Neville is upset that he is losing his home. So he decides to pee in the fuel tank of the bush clearing tractor.

Miami

Yancy’s boss, the Sheriff – Sonny – is pissed because Yancy won’t let it go. So he yells at Yancy.

Dude was about to pop a vein doing all of that.

But then, isn’t he curious about the arm or is he (dun! dun!! dun!!!)
CORRUPT?

Yancy was fired.

Wow.

They took everything from him, even his car. All he had left was his bicycle and his home.

Bonnie is back.

Yancy doesn’t know Bonnie’s real name and she doesn’t want to leave her abusive husband because there is something dodgy about her.

The raccoon has been removed from the house and there is a bulldozer to pull down the house next to Yancy.

Oh, capitalists are taking over Yancy’s area as they are Neville’s place. The only difference is, Neville’s sister sold the house.

Yancy is at the severed arm’s funeral. His name was Mr. Stripling.

Yeah, Eve hates her husband’s daughter, Caitlin. Eve is very passive-aggressive.

Eve switched Mr Stripling’s ring from platinum to yellow gold. Probably cheap gold.

Hmm, something’s not right about Eve. She is not to be trusted.

Caitlin thinks Eve murdered her father.

I can’t say, I disagree.

Yancy asked Caitlin why she thought Eve murdered her father. Did Mr Stripling ever express to her that he was unhappy?
Caitlin responded with:

How would I know, I haven’t spoken to that asshole in over a year.

What I am gathering is that Mr Stripling was a useless man when he was alive.

Neville is in a bar with his friends, asking them for advice on how to stop the real estate capitalists from taking over his home.

Maybe you should meet your sister and ask her to return the money. Maybe that would help you just a tiny bit.

Neville’s friend, Charles, took them to a Babalawo to help him with his troubles. The rest of Neville’s friends are scared but Neville claims that he isn’t whilst looking terrified.

It seems that Neville and Yancy are united in one course: keep the property capitalists out of our neighbourhoods.

Yancy called a beekeeper to dump a hive of bees in the chimney of the house next door.

Ruthless.

Yancy lost his bicycle to the river.

The narrator finally shows his face: an old guy with a head full of white hair.

Ohhhhhh! The narrator was the old man at the beginning of the episode.

Amazing voice.

Charles insists that Neville visits the babalawo, called The Dragon Queen.

Neville has chosen to listen to Charles.

So for him to make sure the juju works, he went to steal an item from the developer. Something that has touched his skin.

I would love to see the outcome of this Babalawo-juju situation.

The developer had a dog and it chased Neville but lucky for him, his monkey, Driggs came to his rescue.

And we heard the phrase: GOOD MONKEY

The boy who pulled the arm out of the river now wears a medallion with this inscription:

PUSSY MAGNET

PUSSY MAGNET was murdered in cold blood outside the diner Yancy and he were in.

Neville is finally in The Dragon Queen’s house? Shrine? Both?

I don’t know.

Dragon Queen likes a bit of Neville: if you know what I’m saying.
