They don’t care about anything or anyone. The only god who has a smidgen of empathy is Hades. The rest are just selfish pricks who are so power drunk they don’t give a rat’s ass if humans live or die.
Episode 3 – The Trojans
Ariadne is the third human in this story but she doesn’t die. She sets the ball in motion.
Ariadne is the daughter of Krete’s ruler, President Minos. After the whole thing the FUCK THE GODS shit mural during Olympia day.
Zeus is angry. He tasks Hades to get more divers and demands Poseidon ensure President Minos punishes those responsible.
By the way, I LOVE, LOVE, Poseidon. He is such a vibe. He ain’t shit for sure but he is such a fun lad.
President Minos discovers that seven Trojans are responsible. His army arrests six but the last one proves to be difficult to find.
So President Minos calls the Queen of the Trojans and her daughter, Andromache to a meeting. He asks that they give him the seventh Trojan.
Ariadne goes out with her bodyguard Theseus who takes her to Munis to relax.
That Munis scene was barbaric.
Hippolyta kills her opponent and dies as well because he used his last breath to murder her.
Ariadne starts seeing Furies and thinks she is dying that day. Theseus offers her a solution: she saves a life so as to make the Furies let her go.
The life is the seventh Trojan, Astyanax; the son of Andromache and Theseus’ boyfriend.
By the way, Ariadne was in love with Theseus. It really hurt her to find out he had a man.
Ariadne asks her father to free the Trojans as her birthday present which he does BUT Zeus isn’t happy.
Zeus rings Poseidon and Poseidon rings President Minos.
All the Trojans are rounded up and murdered by the Minotaur.
Oh, and the Furies come for Ariadne regardless.
Episode 4 – There is No Renewal
Zeus is fucking evil.
Just because he couldn’t find his watch, he rounded up his ball boys and shot them as though he were hunting birds.
Prometheus gives us a back story of himself.
He used to be in love with Charon but he murdered him because of the greater good.
However, before Prometheus murdered his boyfriend, he said one day Charon would come across someone with a mark. When Charon does, he should help him.
The scene where Prometheus killed Charon was disgusting. Matter of fact the show gets progressively gory as it goes along.
Charon is now stuck in the underworld and the someone with the mark is Orpheus.
Orpheus was repugnantly selfish in this episode. I hated him.
Astyanax goes through the Frame and runs away at the last minute because he is terrified by what he saw.
So he ran away and Caeneus saw him.
Eurydice was enlisted as a diver and joins Caeneus’s small gang with his other colleagues. While at the Frame, Caeneus sees Hippolyta who is braggadocious and proud of herself for murdering Caeneus.
Hera is cheating on Zeus with Poseidon. Like she is actively fucking Poseidon with her Tacita’s around.
Dionysus steals a watch that looks exactly like Zeus’s watch from a store and returns it to Zeus who is having a manic episode.
At the end of the episode, Eurydice and Caeneus discover that there is no renewal. All the souls are taken to an underground bunker where they are frozen forever.
Trapped, never to be reborn.
Poor Agatha.
Fuck Hippolyta though. She is a psychotic murderer.
Episode 5 – Now it all makes sense
This episode was divided into 3:
Part 1 was called FURIES
The FURIES tell Ariadne the truth about her father.
Well, they tried too.
She was too hard-headed and refused to listen. One of The Fates, Atropos called in a favour because of Prometheus.
However, Ariadne found out the truth regardless. Her father was not the prophesied leader of Krete.
Poseidon made Minos the leader. Poseidon also promised him immortality if he did EXACTLY AS THEY, THE GODS INSTRUCTED HIM TO.
President Minos was never meant to have children because his prophecy was that his firstborn would slay him.
So Poseidon gave him twins, instructing Minos to get rid of the firstborn and let the secondborn live.
Which was exactly what Minos did – well, sort of.
Ariadne got to find out that she didn’t kill her brother, Glaucus. Her brother never died. Glaucus is alive and well but lives as a savage beast called:
The Minotaur.
Part 2: Hera and the Tacitas
Zeus loves to listen to the tongues in Hera’s chamber just for fun. He loves to hear humans grovel but this time, he hears Hera moaning.
Being the paranoid dictator that he is, he forces one of Hera’s Tacitas to tell him the truth. The Tacita doesn’t say anything and Zeus murders her.
The murder makes Hera silently rage as Zeus has destroyed their oath.
Part 3: The Dead
Hades is shown stealing the souls of the dead as he keeps them frozen forever in the underground bunker. While is drawing the soul out, Eurydice is there and she faints.
Prometheus then says that Hades keeps the souls trapped because Zeus told him to.
Eurydice and Caeneus are around to undo it.
Also…
Ariadne’s prophecy is: A line appears, the order wanes, the family falls, and Kaos reigns.
Eurydice’s prophecy is: A line appears, the order wanes, the family falls, and Kaos reigns.
Zeus’ prophecy is: A line appears, the order wanes, the family falls, and Kaos reigns.
Caeneus hasn’t said his prophecy yet but I bet it is the same.
My Thoughts
I am loving this show. It is insane.
So here are my thoughts:
Ariadne “saves” the Trojans only for her father to kill them using her brother, the Minotaur.
Astyanax goes to the Underworld and the fear of the dead in the bunker makes Caeneus and Eurydice see the evil the gods are up to.
Orpheus makes it to the underworld, he sings so well that he wakes up the dead which causes chaos.
Then everyone is renewed and they come for Zeus.
I think.
Oh and something I discovered, that nose tattoo Cassandra has is a Trojan thing.
