It is Year 20.

He was stabbed to death by a savage man.

This demon said he didn’t mean to.

Heather killed the savage man.

That’s my girl!

Raif died.

Ish is still spiralling. He wants to do a blood transfusion – giving Joey his blood.

Jean is drinking again now that Raif is dead.

I can’t bring myself to judge her because she is grieving. The son who made her quit her vices and believe in her ability to be a responsible mother is gone.

I hope this series doesn’t end with everyone dying because that would be traumatising.

Kori is well now.

No fucking way!!!!

It was Silas who killed Raif.

I curse the day Charlie was born. All his existence ever did was to put a stain on Earth.

The medication is working for everyone except Joey.

I guess it is his time to die. It is so sad that Ezra and Ish had to pay the debts for killing Charlie who DESERVED to die.

Joey died.

And Ish got angry. He has cleaned off the San Lupo address.

Four people died from the illness.

I can barely see any kids there. Where is Maurine and Jorge’s other daughter? What about Raif’s sister? Did she die?

Ish is spiralling. He is destroying the library. His favourite child is dead and he couldn’t bring himself to go to Joey’s funeral.

There are still other children.

This is great casting. Both Alex and Heather look so alike, they could pass for siblings.

and they are not related in real life.

Ish, said the kids don’t need him as a teacher.

Yes, they do Ish. These kids still need to know how to read and write.

Year 21

Joey was a little genius. He was planning on a radio transmitter to find other people.

Ah! That boy deserved to live and thrive and change the world.

Joey was an angel.

They all want to build the transmitter to find other people.

Jorge said they should all go upstairs and leave him alone to build it.

LOL

Finally, Ish and Ezra hugged.

I like Ezra he is a charismatic guy with a good heart. He is basically a Charlie but with a whole lot of good in his heart.

They finally built it.

I really hope they find people.

They are all playing a game of baseball (lemon ball) to relax.

I like this. It’s been a while since they haven’t been either so paranoid or always building.

They found somebody. A woman who has a community of 77 people. They settled by the ocean and called their area Point Lubo.

Oh my God!

And it’s Year 50

and this is Heather’s son, Jack.

Ish delivers the final line of the series. “Men go and come but the Earth abides.”

Final Thoughts

I think this show is one of my favourites for 2024 and probably of all time. It was so different than most because it was a show about the reality of nature. How it can take and remain. How people have to be ready to open themselves up to other people despite the fear of being hurt.

This show was also about protecting yourself when you had to even if your morals were on the line. It was about community and love. It was a good show.

My rating for this show is 8 out of 10. It would have been 9 if they showed us the Point Lubo people but I am fine regardless.
