I like Stepan’s wife, Darya Alexandrovna. She admonished him for being a cheating hoe.

Stepan is a narcissist. He still doesn’t know why Darya hates him.

Kitty is confused about who to choose between Levin and Vronsky. Well, judging by what I have read so far about Vronsky, he is a mama’s boy. He is afraid to propose in his mother’s absence so as not to offend her.

Oh damn, I can’t believe Tolstoy’s writing is making me feel bad for Levin.

Levin finally gathered the courage to ask Kitty to marry him but she refused him because he is a farm boy. He doesn’t have a distinguished profession which in modern times is bullshit because we all need food and farmers are important.

Kitty’s dad, Prince Alexander is a delightful problem.

That man is a Levin shipper. He can’t stand Vronsky.

Dragging someone like this has to be considered illegal.

He called Vronsky a WHIPPERSNAPPER.

So the Vronsky is not even interested in getting married?

So why is he wasting Kitty’s time then? He should go and look for someone who doesn’t want to get married?

Vronsky despises his mother.

And here I was thinking that he was a mama’s boy. Maybe this then explains why he is not interested in getting married. He has mummy issues.

A man who cheats on his significant other holds NOTHING sacred. Not even his body.

Vronsky is in love with Anna Karenina and Kitty can tell.

Well, Kitty probably doesn’t know it is love but she can tell that Vronsky is drawn to Anna Karenina in a way he isn’t drawn to her (Kitty).

Poor Levin. His self-esteem is on the floor. He doesn’t think he is worthy of Kitty.

The sad thing is that she loves him too. She only said no to please her mother. Even Kitty’s father likes Levin as well but Levin is talking down on himself.

Konstantin Levin’s brother Nikolai is mentally unstable.

A very married Anna Karenina is doing “the boy is mine” with a single girl.

She is very much like her brother, Stepan Arkadyich. I guess infidelity runs in the family.

Thank God she is leaving early before she cheats on her husband.

Vronsky is on the train.

Poor Kitty and Alexei Karenin.

Vronsky is obsessed with Anna Karenina.

Vronsky is bold AF.

Anna Karenina hates her husband.

Poor guy. He better be a dipshit or something because if he is not, there is no chance in hell I will be rooting for Anna and that emotionally stunted whippersnapper Vronsky.

Vronsky thought Alexei Karenin was a phantom of the spouse until he saw him.

Vronsky needs to free my girl Kitty. It is clear his inept self doesn’t like her at all.

Vronsky walked up to Anna and her husband to ask her how she slept.

Not this whippersnapper dragging another man’s wife with him in public.

It is the audacity for me.

Vronsky is not scared oh. He is still running his mouth and talking as though Anna is a single woman.

The way I would have smacked him if I was Alexei. Hmm…

Final Thoughts

This is a nice setup of the characters and the Anna-Vronsky infidelity that is to come. I hope by Part 2, Vronsky has freed Kitty to live her best life.
